Associated Press CLEVELAND (AP) The search of suspected serial killer's home continues in Cleveland. FBI agents spent about four hours there today, sifting through dirt with rakes and running a thermal-imaging device across the ground. The decomposing remains of 11 women have been found at the site. Anthony Sowell is facing five preliminary charges of aggravated murder. Washington (AP) President Barack Obama is pleading with lawmakers to "resist the temptation" of turning an investigation of the Fort Hood massacre into "political theater." In his Saturday address, Obama says law enforcement and military investigators should be allowed to complete their probes before Congress launches an investigation. Meanwhile, funerals are being held today for six of the 13 people killed. SINGAPORE (AP) The prospects of an Asia-Pacific free-trade region have gotten a boost from President Barack Obama today. Before arriving in Singapore for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, Obama announced that the U.S. would seek to join a smaller group seen as a precursor to a broader Pacific Rim agreement. Obama says opening markets "will be critical" to the world's prosperity. PHILADELPHIA (AP) A suburban Philadelphia swim club accused of discriminating against black and Hispanic children last summer may be preparing to declare bankruptcy. The Philadelphia Daily News reports the club's president sent an e-mail to "friends and families" yesterday saying the board had voted to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy this week. PHOENIX (AP) A former student has returned two missing library books to Camelback High School in Phoenix. The books were checked out in 1959.
