MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Totino-Grace running back John Crockett ran for 145 yards and four touchdowns as Totino-Grace won 45-7 over Sartell-St. Stephen in the Class 4A championship game yesterday, finishing off the 2009 Prep Bowl. Crockett had 109 yards and two touchdowns in the third quarter alone, including a 69-yard scoring run to give the Eagles a 45-0 lead.

Duluth, Minn. (AP) Grand Valley State scored 14 points off turnovers en route to a 24-10 win at Minnesota Duluth yesterday, advancing to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Football playoffs. The Lakers (11-1) intercepted four passes and held the Bulldogs (11-2) to just 83 yards from the line of scrimmage.

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) April Phillips sparked a second-half run to lift No. 9 Xavier to a 71-56 win over Minnesota in the Junkanoo Jam yesterday. The Musketeers led by 12 at the half, but Minnesota rallied to 48-40 with 8:30 to go before Phillips took over. She scored eight points during a 13-2 run over the next 3 minutes that allowed Xavier to put the game away.

CHICAGO (AP) Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker is apologizing for "unacceptable" living conditions at Chicago buildings owned by his companies. A broken sewer pipe in one building filled the basement with human waste and debris, and bricks tumbled from the building's facade. Walker Ventures LLC and AW Realty LLC have been sued in over a dozen lawsuits over poor management and unpaid debts.
