BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) Montana State-Billings outside hitter Devon Crotteau has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division-II Third Team All-America list. She's the first player in MSU-Billings history to earn All-America honors since the program was founded in 1981. Crotteau ranked fifth in the nation in kills this season (4.47).

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) Missoula Loyola guard Jordan Pfau has signed a letter of intent to join the Weber State women's Basketball team for the 2010-11 school year. Pfau, who is from Arlee, averaged 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals last season at Loyola. She is a three-time all-state selection in basketball, volleyball and track.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Wyoming quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels has been named the Mountain West Conference freshman of the year.

The conference announced its 2009 All-Conference Football Team yesterday, and seven Cowboys received honors. Senior defensive tackle John Fletcher was named First Team All-Mountain West Conference for the first time in his career.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Carleton Scott took an alley-oop pass from Luke Harangody and deflected it in, igniting an 18-2 run that let Notre Dame break the game open in beating Idaho State 80-70 last night. Idaho State closed to 47-42, but Scott scored his alley-oop basket, then Harangody made one of his two 3-pointers as the Irish began pulling away.
