Internet scam involves bogus Mandan residentsMay 26 2007 1:21PM
Associated Press Lieutenant Paul Leingang says it's happened six times recently. One of the sellers used the address of a Mandan motel, and others have used real street names with bogus house numbers. Leingang says the cost of the bogus A-T-V's has ranged from 27-hundred to 32-hundred dollars. He says all of the money for the six A-T-Vs appears to have been picked up in Florida. Leingang advises people not to wire money to people they don't know for products advertised online. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 05-26-07 1315CDT |
