Sheriff says former football player's death a suicide...Jun 8 2007 7:51PM
Associated Press Medora, N.D. (AP) The Billings County sheriff says an autopsy has confirmed that a former Montana Tech football player died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the North Dakota Badlands. The body of 24-year-old Jens Jensen was found Tuesday, about five miles south of Medora. Sheriff Dave Jurgens says a rifle was found nearby. The sheriff said he does not know why Jensen was in the area, but he might have been visiting friends in Dickinson. Jensen was from Missoula, Montana. He completed his senior season of eligibility as a Tech running back last fall. He studied petroleum engineering and had one semester left before graduation. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press.
