It's probably a total loss....

A fire at a home on South 12th South of Cottonwood was engulfed in flames...

Fire Crews were called to the scene at about 12:45 this afternoon and battled the blaze for hours.

The fire was so bad fire crews were only able to fight the fire from the outside of the burning home...

It's too early to tell yet, what caused the fire.

(Asst. Chief Dan Burgard/Bismarck Rural Fire Dept.) "We really don't know, we haven't been inside to do the investigation yet. The fire Marshal's been called and he'll be on scene and he'll do the investigation."
