Young Blogger Creates Political Conversation

How do you get information? Television, radio and newspaper have long been the traditional sources.

Today, blogs are becoming another way you can stay informed.

Brad Feldman introduces us to a Bismarck boy spending his free time writing about his favorite topic...

{Sound typing) (Matthew Becker/ Matt's Conservative Blog) "It's just been a fun and rewarding experience so far." Matthew Becker is a senior at Century High School

If the school was auditioning for a mascot, Becker would most likely be the patriot

(Matthew Becker/ Matt's Conservative Corner) "I guess it started probably a couple years ago during the 2006 election." In October, while helping with Dwight Grotberg's campaign for United States Senate, Becker started writing

Not to keep a journal of memories for himself or a term paper for one of his classes

He wanted to share the news of his candidate and others in a Blog, "Matt's Conservative Corner." (Matt Becker/ Matt's Conservative Blog) "Blogging is sort of about taking news and making, putting your own spin on it I guess. That is basically what I do." Whatever the topic...Becker shares his perspective with you

He has to let his voice be heard this way because..

(Matt Becker/ Matt's Conservative Corner) "not being able to vote is definetly something I am not very happy about but I will just make my presence known in others way." What he means is writing the way he sees the races shaping up in November

Whether it is who will run for and win the White House..

(Matt Becker/ Matt's Conservative Corner) "I think it is definetly proven to be one of the most interesting in the last fifty years." ...or the state races for Governor, Public Service Commissioner and insurance commissioner

You can expect Becker will be there, or behind his computer, posting his thoughts the entire way

Brad Feldman KX News

Becker will be taking part in the 46th Annual United States Senate Youth Program in Washington DC in March.

He will spend one week in the nations capital getting a closer look at the US government and how it works.
