The state Health Department is reporting 2,349 confirmed cases of the Flu in North Dakota.

That's only 20 fewer cases than all of last year, with two-and-a-half months still left in the flu season. Billings is the only county not reporting flu activity this week.

Cass County is leading the state with 458 flu cases. Burleigh County has 350, Morton County has 149 and Grand Forks County has 135.

State influenza coordinator Michelle Feist (FYST) says the flu season seems to be spread out more this year.

She says the number of cases could depend on the strain of flu that's around, or on whether the flu vaccine is a perfect match. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
