Last Push for Votes

With only hours left until election day... The heat is on for Republicans and Democrats

"This is soandso with the Republican Party calling to remind you to vote." "This is Laura, a volunteer with the Democratic-NPL party to remind you tomorrow's the big day."

Supporters from both sides are making a last minute push for votes... They're calling North Dakotans and asking them to head to the polls.

At the North Dakota Grassroots Campaign for Obama... Volunteers are making their 96 hour push... Calling potential voters from nine a-m to nine p-m.

Workers there say after the paid Obama staff left the state... more than 75 volunteers in the area continued their work.

(Beth Nodland/Volunteer) "We do have a phenomenal number of Independents and crossover Republicans and so the folks are just making the call to get out the vote, but we are encouraging people to vote for Democratic-NPL candidates."

From the presidential race, down the line... Republican supporters are also urging voters to make their voices heard... Oraganizers say up to 60 volunteers have been busy at the Ronald Reagan Republican Center... handing out campaign literature, and making phone calls for their party.

(Erik Stenehjem/College student) "I really believe in Republicans this year and I think it's in the country's best interest that they stay in office and put country on the right track."
