Missouri River landowners to meet in YanktonMar 17 2009 5:22AM
Associated Press YANKTON, S.D. (AP) Landowners along the Missouri River near Yankton can meet with representatives from several federal and state agencies in the second Landowner Conservation Workshop on Wednesday. It's free and is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Yankton 4-H Center. As many as 22 agencies from Nebraska and South Dakota involved with the Missouri National Recreational River will have booths set up with information. Missouri River Futures is hosting the workshop and its coordinator said the main issues will deal with conservation and techniques landowners can use on their land. The workshop will also feature a number of demonstrations from various agencies, including ones on pallid sturgeon recovery efforts, tilling methods and water flows.
