Jeans Collections/Habitat for HumanitySep 16 2009 7:02PM
KXMBTV Bismarck Cotton Incorporated and Vanity stores nationwide launch a denium drive to help rebuild communities. To do so, they want your denim. Jeans, shirts, dresses, purses...anything made of denim, can be donated. The material will be shredded and made into insulation. Many Habitat for Humanity's in the Golf Coast region have already insulated about 180 homes with this method. Bismarck's Vanity store manager Erica Horner says they have goals for the drive (Erica Horner/Vanity Store Manager) "One-hundred thousand pairs is our company's goal which would be two-hundred homes. Five-hundred pairs per home. So, we are looking to do at least 1 to 2 homes here at the store." When you donate your old denim, Vanity stores will give you 25-percent off coupons to be used towards a new pair of jeans. The denim drive runs through November third.
