Associated Press LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Rookie head coach Dave Christensen says Wyoming may've exceeded some people's expectations after starting the season 4-2, including 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference. But he says the Cowboys haven't met his expectations to win every game, though they're moving in the right direction. They beat New Mexico 37-13 on Saturday. BOISE, Idaho (AP) Boise State University rose one place in the latest Associated Press college Football Poll, climbing to fifth place during a week in which they didn't play. Meanwhile, the University of Idaho Vandals received one vote in the AP media poll on Sunday from a Los Angeles sportswriter. The Vandals improved to 5-1 on the season after a late-game TD. UNDATED (AP) Utah is back in the AP Top 25. The Utes returned to the rankings Sunday at No. 24 while rival BYU stayed put at No. 18. Utah improved to 4-1 Saturday with a come-from-behind 24-17 win at Colorado State. The Utes had been out of the rankings since losing at Oregon on Sept. 19. BYU is 5-1 after routing UNLV 59-21 on Saturday, but the Cougars' win over the struggling Rebels was not enough to bump BYU up in the poll. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
