Associated Press Bismarck, N.D. (AP) One of the three finalists for the presidency of Dickinson State University has dropped out. Joseph Bascaus (pronounced BAHS'-quahs) is a former president of Medaille (meh-DY) College in Buffalo, New York. Bascaus sent an e-mail to North Dakota university system chancellor William Goetz on Tuesday to withdraw as a candidate, citing "personal and professional reasons." The other finalists are Bruce Speck, a provost and vice president of Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, and Richard McCallum, vice president for academic affairs at Missouri Southern State University.
