Linton DonationsApr 25 2009 9:15PM
KXMBTV Bismarck Bek communications has teamed up with Jobbers Moving to help those in need by taking up a collection. A Jobbers moving van sits in the K-Mart parking lot waiting for radio listeners to donate any furniture or appliances they can to help those who may have lost it all. Nancy Hruby...a Bek employee... helps keep track of what is being loaded into the now half full tractor trailer. She says good samaritans brought many items...even local companies gave to the cause. Nancy Hruby - "I. Keating furniture they were here this morning before our truck actually showed up...they had one of their delivery trucks full of furniture..." As KX was reporting on the truck several people came by to drop off what they could...including one woman who just had an old TV taking up space. Yvonne Seidler - I heard on the radio this last week, they were looking for furniture for Linton and TV's, appliances and I had one sitting there that wasn't being used so I asked my husband this morning if I could take it and he said 'go for it' and he helped me load it. Its just sitting in my garage its in the way I needed to move it I'm glad if someone could use it." Organizers say that every furniture and appliance item donated will be used. If it cannot be used in Linton it will go to other nearby communities affected by the floods. And if you wish to donate, you still can, they'll be at the K-Mart parking lot tomorrow between noon and 7pm.
