Search Moved Up Due to WeatherNov 15 2004 12:00AM
http://www.kxmc.com/ Sheriff Eugene Molbert had planned to organize a new search party for Saturday. But he says colder temperatures and a chance of snow and rain prompted him to move the search to Wednesday. Authorities are looking for signs of 73-year-old Norman Olson, who has been missing for three months. Olson's wife, Yvonne, vanished at the same time. She was found shot to death outside of Hettinger earlier this month. Norman Olson also is presumed dead. Authorities are treating Yvonne Olson's death as a homicide. But they say they're not sure yet if anyone besides the couple was involved in the disappearance. Molbert says he's hoping for about 30 volunteer horse-riders and a dozen people on four-wheelers to take part in the search. Molbert says the new effort will cover some areas not searched before. About a hundred National Guard soldiers and Highway Patrol troopers spent the weekend looking for Olson, but they came up empty handed. |
