Harvey beats Lisbon for Class 1A Football championship

Fargo, N.D. (AP) Running back Kordel Wolfe scored on a 2-yard run with 15 seconds to play, lifting Harvey to a 21-18 win over Lisbon for the North Dakota Class 1A football championship.

The score came less than two minutes after Lisbon missed converting a fourth down by less than half a foot near midfield. A first down would have given the Broncos a chance to run out the clock for the win.

Lisbon lost despite controlling the football for most of the second half. Broncos sophomore running back Brandon Schell rushed for 248 yards on 39 carries including 28 attempts and 112 yards after halftime.

Harvey ran just 18 plays in the final two quarters, seven of which came on its final drive.
