WHITE HOUSE (AP) More meetings are planned at the White House on Wednesday on the path toward Middle East peace. President Bush is scheduled to host Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (EH'-hood OHL'-murt) and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas (mahk-MOOD' ah-BAHS'), including a rare session together at one point. Abbas says neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians "must beg for peace from the other."


NEW YORK (AP) It's looking to be a green Christmas for retailers online. An Internet research firm reports this year's Cyber Monday rang in 733 million dollars worth of sales. That's 21 percent higher than last year. The Monday after Thanksgiving marks the unofficial start of the Internet shopping season.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) The father of slain Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor says he hopes the killer will "come to grips with himself" and surrender one day. Pedro Taylor, a police chief in Florida, met with investigators but had no additional information about who fatally shot his son. Coach Joe Gibbs says the Redskins will practice Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Still no deal, but they'll try again Wednesday. Striking movie and television writers and Hollywood producers are still trying to come to terms on a new contract. The writers walked off the job earlier this month.

LOS ANGELES (AP) He raced his way to a dancing victory. Driver Helio Castroneves (EL'-ee-oh kas-troh-NEV'-ez) is the new champion on "Dancing With the Stars." The former Indy 500 champion beat out Spice Girl Melanie Brown to take the title.
