| Let's Utilize this HUGE building..Home Depot |

What are the plans for the Home Depot Building? It would be nice to have a bowling ally in Bismarck. I know the last one did not succeed, but, the population has grown and this is an ideal location. The alley in Mandan is always so busy and hard to get a lane at times. It is sad to see this huge NEW building go to waste when this community needs more place for cheaper entertainment and a place to go for family activities. What do you think? Proper management is the key to any success in business and location, location ,location! |

At 11 million dollars it probably won't be bought by a local. Most commercial real estate requires 30% down payment. Then your payments would be 50 - 60 thousand a month plus employees wages and bennefits. I agree bismarck could use a some more family entertainment though.

Costco wouldn't be bad. I would like a wholesale electonics store or a huge surplus store!!!!!
It isn't that I think the bowling alley is a bad idea, but the one by BSC closed. I don't know if there is a big enough market. However, if you were going to turn it into anything, nascar and golf simulators and an indoor go kart track/paintball course. All those will have leagues, then maybe put a restraunt and bar in there and you have an teenage/adult playground.

I wondered too about what will happen to that building. I'm also wondering what'll happen to the Melroe plant. I noticed too that our illustrious governor has been absent at the announcements of both their closings. No positive sound bytes there I guess.

I have a personal theory on the conspiracy of the Home Depot building sitting open. It is an interment camp (prison camp)....Fema will soon start rounding us up and putting us away.... Isn't that right guys....

North Dakota is full of hunters and fishermen (and women) but all we have for sporting goods is Scheels and the small Dakota Bait and Tackle store. I wish that something like Sportsmen's Warehouse would move into Bismarck and give Scheels a little competition. It's the pits having only one sporting goods store in town because they can pretty much set whatever prices they want and also, if they are out of something or don't carry it you are pretty much screwed.
