Congress 4.7 Billion Raise

Social Security recipients get no raise because no inflation, 535 members of congress and their staffs get 4.7 Billion raise? What is wrong with this picture? Where are tne news networks, AARP?  Is this not newsworthy? Dorgan, Conrad and pomeroy are always campaigning on how they are so much for the older generation, what a bunch of HIPROCRATES.  We need change.

S.S. has been in big trouble for decades. It is just another example of how Washington cannot fix anything, whether republican or democrat. Kinda like getting off foreign oil, have we done it? Nope...

I believe the people should have a vote on whether or not congress gets pay raises.

Oh and that 4.7 billion is just kids play compared to the other spending that has gone on for the past years...

Did our congressional representation vote for this?

I agree, they shouldn't be allowed to vote themselves raises anymore than we are allowed to do so in the private sector.
