Authorities are asking for the public`s help in locating a 1997 white Jeep Cherokee with a California license plate: 3UBN521.
They are searching the Southwestern part of the state. From Killdeer to Bowman by plane. They have been missing since yesterday.

Dickinson State College, they are college students that play on the Dickinson State College Softball team. My bad I thought I put that in there!

All three of their cell phones go to voice mail. That's not possible if they're alive. This is not a good ending....

Sure it's possible especially considering we are not bitterly cold yet, and their batteries probably died. The only weird thing is that they mentioned water, there just ins't a lot of water out on that part of the state. We should all say a word of prayer for them.

I don't think the batteries would all die at the same time. The article set up a bad scenario. Definitely pray for their safe recovery.

What little water there is in that area, they seemed to have stumbled upon....
A female friend called the Sheriffs Department saying she got a call from the three women they were talking about water and were hysterical.
The cell phone call came through a tower five miles northwest of Dickinson.
Tuhy says all three girls have cell phones however they now go straight to voicemail.

Until I hear for certain that there has been an accident or foul play in regards to this story, I'm going to keep an open mind and hope for the best. There are several reasons that the phones are going to voice mail: Maybe they are in an area that has bad or spotty service (a common problem all over the state), the batteries are dead, or they turned the phones off until they get into an area with service. I hope the three gals are just fine and will be located soon. I can't help but think of the balloon story from a few weeks ago - I hope that isn't what we have here. And no need for anyone to jump me because I'm cynical, It just seems that way to many people are looking for a way to get their 15 minutes of fame (or shame). I am hoping to hear good news on this story soon - it is pretty chilly, if not down right cold out, especially at night -

While there may not be many large bodies of water in that area, there are countless possibilities for locations to search. Both the Heart River and its tributary the Green River contain numerous pools and drop-off's that could easily conceal a Jeep. In addition there are dozens upon dozens of dug-out stock ponds and small dams that are also deep enough to be deadly if they inadvertently found themselves in such a place.
Considering that none of these women were from the area, they could have easily become disoriented if they were going for a drive in the country, especially at night. I hope for the best, but I fear the worst.

They had a connection when one of them made the call....and they were hysterical. Then when someone attempts to call them back.....no answer. It's cold and windy here. I can imagine how cold it is if you're wet. I hope we hear something soon. Please keep us posted..... I'll be thinking about these girls all night.

The only water down there is stock ponds or the recreation area north of Killdeer and the Litlle Missouri Crossing. The lost bridge area in dunn county. other than that east of Dickinson is a slough about 40 miles away. The north road would be more apt to have an accident nobody would come alone for some time. If i was going to search it would be that area.
Without knowing which direction they were headed it might be hard to find. Looking for water around Dckinson is like looking for 3 girls in s/w dakota lots of aream and most are confined to regular traveled roads unless your 4-whealing in a jeep somewhere.
