Another Muslim honor killing. Dad runs daughter down and she dies 2 weeks later.
If Muslims are worried their kids may become westernized and that the family may have to kill that child, THEN STAY AWAY FROM AMERICA. Go Home.
When will we protest this and stop being politically correct? |

This is a tragic story. However your take is pretty terrible and is religious discriminatory statement.
By the same token, if you don't like your kids taking part in the decadence or depravity of America maybe you and your beliefs need to go home.
FYI, you should really learn about Islam in the US, especially in the Carolinas and Virginia's

I agree ChoppeShoppe! If people don't like the freedoms America offers - go home. Michael Savage read an excellent editorial last night on his radio show that was written in response to this killing, I tried to find it online but can't - but it made so much sense. We have become to politically correct for our own good - for sure!

You're right SG. If they don't like our way of living, our customs, which they were AWARE of before they came here, then they should keep their children in their birth country, where they won't have to worry about any problems. They brought this on themselves. How in the world can they expect their children to grow up in the USA and not absorb some of our ways, if not all? That's ludicrous. This has nothing to do with religion either...... it's about moving to the USA but not wanting to be part of the USA... So please stay home...where you can be part of what you know and have lived all your life.
P.S. All these foreign dads need to be informed the minute they step foot on US soil, that if they harm or kill their children, for whatever reason, they will either be put to death or serve life in prison.

Well actually I thought your statement was facetious. So I mistook what you said and am sorry if you thought I was being an ass.
To be fair tho, you guys are demonizing Muslims. Like there are lunatic Christians, who have killed their children because "God" told them too. There are Christian pastor's calling for the assassination of President Obama. There are Christians who do not give children medical care and they die. What about the Hutterites, Mennonites, and other Christian groups who do not assimilate. There are people on this board who ***** and complain Obama supposedly being Muslim. So what if he is?
Xenophobia also doesn't have to be about foreigners, it can be anything that is different than your accustom too.

But SickO, this isn't about Christians, which yes, there are some that are fruit cakes as well. That would be a different thread. You really took me by surprise. Why? Because I had come to view you as someone who always, never failing, had a fair opinion of everything. You never show any hatred or injustice in your opinions. I respected you....because of who you come across as being on this board. You've always been a voice of reason in my eyes. Then when you accuse someone here of hating foreigners, when that wasn't even in the picture, I sat here with my jaw down to my keyboard.... I couldn't believe you'd accuse SG, SC or me of such a thing. I have never seen any hatred of foreigners come from either one of them, and I certainly don't hate anyone because of what country they come from. I don't always love what people do.. I can hate their actions, and I hate what this man did to his child, just because she was acting like a citizen in the country to which HE BROUGHT HER. It was his choice. If he wanted her to retain the ways of his country, he shouldn't have exposed her to a completely different culture and expected it not to affect her. That is not hate for a foreigner. That is hate for what he did to his child.

Firstly we are all a little Xenophobic, in that we are all leery about new and strange things. That comment was also meant in jest and was facetious. This man is monster, don't get that misconstrued. However to characterize it as symptomatic of the Islamic community is a fallacy in and of itself. There radicals in every community, religion, group, etc.
