This guy looks like he's more than drunk. What do you think?

I thought it looked like he had some sort of inner ear problem and the alcohol was compounding it. This video has been circulating for about a month and it just doesn't get old!

I wonder if he was ever arrested and was blood-tested.  My limited knowledge tells me that he may have ingested 2 or 3 grams of PCP, and 3 or 4 qualudes.  Maybe...

Notice, that his feet sometimes seem to cling to the floor as if glued down, while his torso sways here and there.  Yet, despite all sorts of other balance and equilibrium problems, he remains mission-focused.  Regardless of his limbs inability to comply with his brain's requests, his inner determination propels him to continue to try, in spite of the difficulties, to GET THAT BEER!

Or, it might be a hoax.  If so, brilliantly acted!

I thought maybe he had some sort of physical disease that would make his limbs feel floppy and out of control and the alcohol just exacerbated it. I've seen many drunks, but never seen one with such wobbly limbs. Almost like a motor misfunction somewhere.

As far as I know, the only way to determine that would be to dry him out to where he was somewhat normal, (might take a few days) and have him try the same task again.  I believe that would be the scientific method.

Was it even confirmed that he was drunk? Could you imagine having a condition like this and how embarassing it would be lol. If he had an inner ear problem it would definitely explain the falling over and what not, but I hadn't noticed the feet part.

Maybe he was messed up on drugs or drunk and got a concussion...

There is a great silent movie version of this too!

I must admit that I felt sorry for him the first time I watched this, but then again, I also felt sorry for that little kid trapped in that wayward balloon (that afternoon, anyway) .

I would have loved to have seen blood test results. No way could this guy drive and get home in one piece or not get stopped first.

I wonder why the storekeeper didn't simply make a telephone call to the local police department and request that perhaps officers could stop by for a visit.  This guy obviously presented a case of public intoxication, which is sufficient cause for arrest, in most places, is it not?

He very well could have placed the call and they were waiting outside for him. I can't imagine him watching this guy get into a vehicle and attempt to drive.

So, is there any way to research what happened after he exited the store?

The video was done just a month ago... and if you knew where the store was, the name, etc... you could find out.

You guys pretty much touched every thing I was thinking as I watched that............I hate to say this, but at times I chuckled and other times I thought it was sad.  If he was plowed - it was funny, if this was some find of physical problem - sad.  Combo of both?  I have never seen anyone repeatedly try to get up and fail over and over by crossing their legs like that, usually people will just roll to their knees, use the beer as leverage and get up.  At times I wondered if he may be blind, and the next second it appeared that he was sighted.  I wondered about fakery also - wow, wish I knew what really was going on with that guy.  And he was so noodly - just like his limbs were made of rubber, reminded me of Gumby.

That's why I think he has some kind of disease that affects his motor skills and the alcohol just made it all worse for him. I hope he sees this video so he doesn't repeat the performance. Most people have no idea what they look like drunk and if they did, they'd never do it again. I wonder too, if people are aware that the majority of DUI's that come in to be booked, wet themselves. The ones that stay overnight in detox find out real fast how cruddy that feels when they wake up in the morning on those thin rubber mattresses. The damp, the smell and embarrassing? Detox always nauseated me in the mornings. Between the body odor, urine and vomit smells, it made you gag.

Talking about the urine brings up something hubby told me he did one night. He had pulled over a DUI and she was cuffed and in the back of his squad. He went to move her car further off the road so as not to be a traffic  hazard. A couple seconds after he sat down in the drivers seat of her car, it hit him that she had  peed on the seat. He moved the car, got out...and in the meantime the wrecker was on the way to tow the vehicle in. Wrecker finally pulls up, driver gets out and hubby sees this is a regular driver that he has worked with on many occasions. Hubby just nods his head as the wrecker driver motions toward the vehicle. Hubby watches as the wrecker driver walks up to the vehicle, opens the door and gets into the car, sitting on the driver's seat in order to move the vehicle for loading. A few seconds later the wrecker driver gets out.....eyes big....mouth open...looks at hubby.... Hubby nods and continues with his paperwork. It was a practical joke that was at the right time with the right guy and hubby loved it! (You had to be there!)
