|
Posted On: Nov 6 2009 6:07PM
“Criminal penalties
Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:
• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.”
That is straight out of the House Healthcare bill. All I can say is **** YOU COME GET ME *****....
According to the Congressional Budget Office the lowest cost family non-group plan under the Speaker’s bill would cost $15,000 in 2016.
I ain't sitting no ******* 5 years on in prison for this dumb****. This is just going to cost us even more money to run all these people through the court system. |

Isn't there something about a hardship clause...for people who won't be able to afford insurance? They won't be fined...

The Senate lessened the punishment and ended up just making civil. According to what I have read
“H.R. 3962 provides that an individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional tax.” [page 1]

“If the government determines that the taxpayer’s unpaid tax liability results from willful behavior, the following penalties could apply…
(generally 2.5% of income)

You won't like what I have to say, but I believe race may have something to do with getting out of it or going to jail.

It's income, not race... Bill Cosby won't need the hardship clause.

They won't have enough prison space to house all of the non payers. They will have to tax the rich again to pay for more prisons. Once you are in prison though you will get free healthcare, free meals, video games and tv, and free rent. Oh - and a girlfriend named ralph.

I think we will all be making a lot of new friends in prison.. All I can say, is if you haven't called your representatives, called the prez, protested, or written a letter to the editor DON'T COMPLAIN... You are part of the problem. :)
We will all make some new friends in jail I guess.
