Would Ebeneezer Scrooge be a Republican or Democrat?

I took my kids to the 3-D movie "A chrismas carol" today.  Don't know what to say about it.  Alot of great special effects and such but the movie goes long and didn't do it for me.  Movie for three people was $29 dollars for tickets and $20 for popcorn and pop.  Anyways while I was watching it I started wondering if old man Scrooge was around today just what party would he vote?  Keep in mind if you haven't seen the movie that he is a pretty BITTER dude in this flick.  Underpaid good loyal employee Bob Cratchett severely.  Poor Cratchett could never afford medical treatment for little Timmy, or afford to buy a real turkey for Christmas dinner.  Cratchett was loyal though and forgiving even mentioning Scrooge in his Christmas dinner prayer.  Scrooge thought money was the only thing that mattered.  Only thing that was ever on his mind as he screwed over anybody seeking his services.  You can say well Cratchett was stupid not to quit and just find another job.  Not always easy to do.  At Cratchett's age a job isn't alwys easy to get.    Just curious who do you think Scrooge would have voted for in the last election?  Obama or McCain?

Yeah I checked that right away....to be sure it was really YOU! I think Scrooge would have voted Republican.

I am inclined to think he would be a republican.  However, I think he would have been the kind of man who was crooked and totally out for himself.  I don't see that is what the main stream republican is like.  I know conservatives are not like that.  I know many and they are giving wonderful people.

I had old Ebeneezer penciled in as a old fashioned Republican.  After a little further thinking I came to the conclusion that Scrooge would be neither.  He would despise politicians and who they were.  Republicans say they hate taxes but guess what?  They still tax and Ebeneezer would hate paying taxes.  Democrats would turn off old Ebeneezer because they would make him feel guilty about hoarding all his money instead of maybe treating poor old Cratchett his loyal employee with a little more coin.
