Need input about the Ft. Hood tragedy.
Posted On: Nov 7 2009 1:20PM

If Hasan was so freaked out about being deployed, why didn't he just commit suicide? Why did he go out of his way to go to the medical area armed, and kill so many of his comrades.....guys who would have died to save him in the line of duty. Why spread his misery to others?

Because he's a terrorist.

I'm thinking you're correct Jose', but you know some people here are going to jump all over us about being racist just because he was a muslim. I'm wondering if some people aren't blind to reality. There's good muslims and bad muslims, and I think he was one of the bad ones. He makes it rough for all the good ones trying to make it in the world. He has disgraced his people.

Actually I would like to see him given over to the decent Muslims for punishment.  I would like the world to watch as they do to him what they do best, maybe a nice beheading or something similar.   Maybe a bit of waterboarding first.

Marilyn, as to the leaves in my yard, I've got a deal worked out with the NorthWest wind, and so there is no problem, there.  The closest neighbor downwind is over 2 miles away.

When we talk about Iraq or Afghanistan, the religious component of the wars fought there is inseparable from any relavant discussion.  It would be foolish to try and ignore Nidal Hasan's religous faith.

The trouble, I feel, is if you then go beyond this individual......and try to make a broader comment about the faith in which he believes.

Restating: one is about Nidal Hasan's relationship to Islam.....and the other is about Islam itself.

Ok.  I almost feel this is the first Terrorist attack on our soil for this administration.  Am I wrong?

I suppose that would be true, if you don't count this incident:

Thank you for that link Jose`. I don't believe I heard of that story until just now. My opinion or input for you Marilyn, is he is a terrorist.  he went on a rampage killing over a dozen people and attempted to kill over 30 more...TERROR!  He did it while hollering Allah whatever...(minor brain cramp, can't remember the complete phrase), so I would say Islamic terrorist or Muslim terrorist...either way he is a terrorist. I am completely baffled at what has come out in this case so far.  From everything I have heard so far,  Political Correctness played a part....  FBI was aware, military was aware of a problem....but nobody called him out on it...why? he got himself an attorney to help him not be deployed????? WTF????  Why did the military hang on to him, or why did they allow him to counsel others...soldiers returning from war...he counseled and now it is being reported he ARGUED with them.....Yet, he was still allowed to practice. I would also say that there enough blood for a lot of hands.

Yes I remember that incident in Arkansas. Another muslim angry at our soldiers for fighting a war against evil. I wonder why they even stay in the USA. Why don't they go back to their country and fight by the sides of their Islamic terrorist brothers? They'd rather do the dishonorable thing and be sneaky about it...and cold-**** someone, so to speak...don't give them a chance to fight for their life.Cowards all of them. Hide behind women and children and kill unarmed soldiers. Cowards...

Marilyn, since you can't say cold-****, perhaps you could substitute "sucker-punch".

Didn't think of that...excellent. He sucker punched them...the only way a coward can get the upper hand.
