Dear A Stenehjem
Just keep writing, more people have read this than voted for Wayne. I fight for this country everyday too. Please don't stop your powerful words.
This site topic was started to promote the great Wayne Stenehjem.

Dakota Dan,
First off, whats my point? I'll use small words and simple sentences in order for you to understand, since you seemed to have missed it last time. If you have a problem with the way elected officials run things, complaining about it over a news forum isn't the way to handle it. Go out and try to change it. Try and get people on your side. Bring it up to the Supreme Court if you have to. Try and find some one who will do a better job. If you think that person is you then step up. Hiding behind your computer screen is pointless.
Secondly, don't you even try to tell me whats "hard". You have no idea what I do. I promise it isn't some cushy job like you have trying to sell renewable energy. While you sit in your home and wonder what you're going to complain about next, I'm out of the United States defending your right to say what you want. I don't need to defend what Wayne does. He's a grown man and can take care of himself. But what you don't seem to get is that while you're at home rooting for the next big crash in NASCAR, people are trying to make this world a better place the best way they can. Instead of complaining, we're doing.

Dear A. Stenehjem,
Just catching up on your October 11th KXNet.com "Wayne Stenehjem" posting
I have to ask, what's your point? That the poor people who run for public office have it so rough and being a "political figure" is so hard they need our sympathy? Or should get a pass?
You want to know what's hard? Building a business, creating jobs, not getting taxed into oblivion, taking care of your family
I'm afraid you've got it backwards. It's the responsibility of everyone to hold "political figures" accountable. It has nothing
to do with the temperature of my ice-cream.
Wayne is in an elected office and Drew was a political appointment paid by the public to serve.
They are not above the law or being questioned. When "political figures" can't be questioned, we've got some serious problems.
Facts are facts they've got some answering to do.
How about we start with fabrication of evidence to get an Indictment i.e. the Bala case overturned by the U.S. Court of Appeals?
What in the world was Drew Wriggley doing stomping all over a North Dakota company because of a false claim started by Mike Cichy? A claim that RSI was "running a simulcast site that needed a second license"? Well, it turns out that RSI wasn't running a simulcast site, and it was already licensed by the State for Account Wagering.
And this was after Wayne Stenehjem took over RSI just months after the Account Wagering began because he said it owed millions in taxes. It turns out there was no tax for Account Wagering in the State law and there was no deadline to pay parimutuel taxes period. They didn't get around to correcting the legislation or putting rules until 2007. Quite a gap.
Stenehjem and Wriggley ran to the press, a Grand Jury, and a trial jury telling everybody a false story. They even said RSI hadn't paid Federal taxes when it had!
All fabrications against an honest business person who started a business from nothing, had paid over $26-million in taxes to North Dakota, built a State industry, and was rewarded by being sent to federal prison for not breaking any laws. She LOST everything... business, home, health, reputation ... everything! How much tax has wonderful Wayne paid? Or Drew?
After they'd been out there showboating for the cameras and run RSI into the ground they weren't about to lose face and back down.
Maybe Wayne wouldn't enjoy 70% of the vote of the fair minded people of North Dakota if the public knew his actions in this case maybe Drew wouldn't have that political future he wants so badly. Maybe that's why Wayne and Drew did what they did to railroad this case rather than admit they were wrong something those "political figures" really do have a hard time doing.
This injustice was wrong from the start. The North Dakota Racing Commission could and should have handled this from the beginning. Wayne and Drew abused the power of their offices. When the government attacks a business and innocent person like this, they need to MAN-UP.
"Grow a set"? I think that's been done that's what it takes to stand up to "political figures".

Dear Dakota Dan,
Why don't you stop insulting ND's politicans over the news website. If you really had a problem with what they do you would stop hiding behind your stupid Yoda avatar and show your face in public. I bet you're the type of person who complains that your ice cream is to cold. You try and find faults in everyone elses life and business but cant handle the truth about your own failed attemps and shattered dreams. If you think you're Gods gift to everything then grow a pair and run for office yourself. Then you'll see how hard it is to be a political figure. Wayne and Drew both have and are doing an outstanding job. If Wayne wins his elections by 70% then I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one voting for him. If he wasn't doing a good job then he wouldn't be elected every election. Think about it, just because you write a long post dosen't mean you're smart. Reply...

Anyways, this is the most troubling part of what is going in Washington. It isn't massive spending, the wars, healthcare, or anything else. Knowing how the Good Ol' Boy Network works, Susan Bala's attorney shouldn't be surprised - - this case is one more proof they can get away lying, acting like thugs, and breaking the laws they are hired to uphold. I was at the arguments before the Appeals Court - - again these guys made untrue statements to the Court. The Court told Wrigley in plain English, he was wrong. If this stands, it will be another injustice.
The self serving Drew Wrigley says he just didn't have enough evidence to do his job? Not so. The facts are the Appeals Court actually said there was "no basis" for his criminal case and that he "failed to provide evidence to support ANY of the charges".
These guys have fought to keep the facts out of this case, mis-stated the law, and mis-lead the public from the beginning. The facts will stand. She didn't break any laws and she should get back what they illegally took from her.
Why should any business want to move to or start a business in North Dakota when overly ambitious political wannabes can come in, take over your business, ruin it, and never have to answer for it? Drew and Wayne should be held accountable like everybody else.
Now Drew Wrigley will be the one to find reasons to get away with rejecting your health insurance claims and make sure they don't have to cover you.

People. This is a family. Just like mine, just like yours. Leave the poor people alone. They go through the same stuff as you and I do. Each person in it makes their own choices. I met Jason once and he was a great guy. Happy to be with his family, with the ones who loved him. It has nothing to do with his parents, or who his freakin uncle is. So what that he's Wayne Frickin Stenehjem. That man has his faults too.
And bringing people who had no responsibility into it is just crass. Allan isn't a complete jerk who left his nephew in the dirt. And Allan has his own issues. No need to bring it up on here... just leave well enough alone. He has his own family with their own issues. Wayne has his family (with a great son who did great things for this country). And Bob has his family. Leave these people alone.
Jason made his own choices. Drugs freakin do, do things to people. They change. And sometimes it takes the fact that they have to face the possibility of 55 years to make them realize. Sometimes drugs aren't all bad.
All in all? Leave the family out of it. If he were Jason Smith or Jason Something Else it wouldn't be an issue. It's just because of the last name.

If the judges have reversed everyones involvement of any wrong doing at RSI. I think it is time that Susan Bala gets the money that she is due. That Drew Wriggle shuts his big mouth, Susan Bala did nothing wrong.
The only one that did anything wrong was Drew Wriggle, setting up the lies and false stories that cost Susan Bala her Million Dollar Business and her freedom. This type of INJUSTIS should never go un-punished, Everyone involved with the false conviction of RSI / Susan Bala needs to go to prison, instead of going free. Otherwise we are telling the State it's Okay to make-up lies to convict anyone they don't like or in this case that has figured out a way to be very successful in business, with-in the State laws... Even though after she was distroyed by the State, they couldn't do what she had created as the Super Business Women she is.
The bottom line is the State and there lying henchmen screwed-up big time and NOW owe Susan Bala Millions for the business the wrecked of her's. They need to Pay-up and quite the lies they are spinning to cover their Butts. She did nothing wrong How many time and Judges need to say this? Just Pay-up! Reply...

The Attorney General has done a great job, as far as I am concerned. He has taken a strong stance against sexual predators and illegal drugs.
With the scourge of these crimes in our state, he is our attorney general at the right place and right time.
The crimes of illegal drugs and sexual predators will still continue, but it is reassuring that he will keep fighting these crimes. I am sure he will be recommending to the upcoming legislature, to enact new legislation to combat these crimes and to "beef up" the laws that are already in effect.
He is one of the few elected officials that I have 100% respect for.

Our Attorney General should get out of the office. He is a major issue. When we in Rugby sent a petition to the AG to have the AG Office investigate potential corruption in our County, the AG's Executive Assistant sent a nasty letter saying AG won't investigate. He is supporting corruption throughout the state by ignoring the citizens. The sad part here is that I'm sure neither the AG or any of his staff bother to actually read any of the comments posted on numerous news websites about him, the corruption in this state, or that he needs to resign. One more thing about the Lack of Justice Dept., We all know it is true that the Bush Crime Family has been using the Justice Dept for their polical needs. That in NORTH DAKOTA Susan Bala was one of their targets.
I am pleased to annouce that finally she has been cleared of any wrong doing! The Federal Attorney Drew Wrigley should be fired for the crazy case and the millions he will have cost the State. The news people that beleived the BS he put out about Susan Bala, At the very least owe Susan some coverage to make up for the damage they caused by their lying coverage of the one sided BS.
Now for some great news, OPERA, 48 Hours, is stepping in to balance the scales on this one. Those so called NEWS people in North Dakota, Look forward to a real ass kicking for you lack of new coverage after she has been cleared of any wrong doing!!

Look out if you are successful, and not willing to be a part of the Good old BOY Club. Susan was never guilty of anything wrong and she proved it, after the Feds tried, tried and tried. The truth won this time!
I think the Federal Attorneys should be personally held responsiable for their actions, In stead of the Tax payers, that would make these types of cases go away. Reply...

Again I will say the legislature in not within its powers to sentence
convicted criminals. That is the judges job and only the judges job.
The legislators should not be imposing sentences. And do check
you facts on Holland after legalization crimes rates fell. I never
stated crime does not happen in Holland it just went down with
liberalized laws. The fact of the matter is with the drug war law
enforcement in some places are very corrupt. I know of one person pulled over illegally, searched, and arrested. The police
took all the money he had and half the drugs. He went to jail
the pigs got high and had a good time with the money. Fortunate
for him a judge overturned the conviction on appeal but the cops
were never investigated. This is the norm in some areas not the
exception. This person was wrong in dealing but really who are
the real criminals in this case? Reply...
Taxes & Urine Test
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I
pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test,
which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is the
distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because
I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no
problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand,
have a problem with helping someone sit on their butt. Could you imagine how
much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a
public assistance
check. Pass on if you agree.

Wow, I can tell who has been on the bud today.....
You are so far off; The legislature makes and refines laws. As a part of that, they are also responsible for setting benchmark penalties. The judges interpret the law and rule if the full extent of the law should be carried out. In the case of the 3 strikes law, the legislature felt that you should only be given 3 chances to keep your nose clean. You're right. Judges have no say. That's how seperation of powers work... just like the Constitution and our forefathers intended.
I would recheck your facts on Holland. It's not what you are making it out to be. There is still plenty of crime there. Reply...
3 to 5 ounces, is that a lot? I don't know, I've never used drugs. That doesn't mean I believe they should be illegal. The anti-pot commercials on TV these days are ridiculous. 'Smoke pot and you'll be lazy.' OMFG!! A lazy person! G_d forbid! On the subject of other drugs, some people say they need to be outlawed because they lead to other crime. Cause and effect, supply and demand. Need drugs? You WILL find them. Can't afford them? You WILL find a way. Cause artificial scarcity through prohibition? You WILL cause crime to rise, both to satisfy the demand, and to pay for the habit. How did prohibition on alcohol work out? Gangsters ran the streets, murder, bribery, and petty crimes ran rampant. So it was made legal, and now drunk driving kills thousands every year. A point of fact, prohibition of pot was pushed through congress by W. R. Hearst (?), an owner in the lumber industry. The hemp plant was threatening his product in the market, so he mounted a smear campaign in his newspapers, linking it to violent crimes committed by 'negros'. And finally, to the guy all gung-ho about the death penalty, do you support recursive punishment? It is well known that the past two presidents used drugs (the sitting president quite extensively) but were never prosecuted. Perhaps they should be called to reckoning for their past crimes with the same vigilance they persecute those who commit those 'crimes' today.

In response to the crimes involved legalize it like it was in the past,
the costs of drugs would go down radically-dope heads would not
have to steal to get there supply. Check out Holland's policy of
society-legalize it and crime rates drop substantially. Yes alot
of high grade bud comes in from BC but it is a drop in the bucket
compared to the Mexican cartels. The majority of meth comes
from the Mexican cartels. In response to the 3 strikes you are out
anyone that supports that should rip up the constitution because
you apparently have not read it. We in this country have this thing
called the seperation of powers with a checks and balances in
effect or we used to. The legislators make the rules-they do not
impose sentences that is only the job of the Judges. With the 3
strikes you are out the judge has no choice but to sentence the
convicted person with a sentence set by the legislators. I know
a judge who has a real problem with this law. Why do we not
just let the legislators in their immense wisdom set all sentences
for all crimes and just get rid of the Judicial system. Why do we
need the Judical system if the Legislative branch is doing the
sentencing? You see the founding fathers thought long and hard
about what this constitutional republic was to be and how it was to
be structured in order to protect the INDIVIDUAL not society in general-that is what Socialism is about. That is why it is called
Society. In socialism society is held above the Individual. Everything is structured for the society-you have no individual rights you exist for the good of the society on the other hand in our
system the individual was supposed to be held above society. His
God given rights were to be protected above all other things. It
seems we as a nation have forgotten the original intentions of
the wise men who drafted the constitution. The greatest nation
the world has ever known is in its darkest hour. Go ahead US
be proponents of torture, the killing of the innocent in the middle
east, allow our military and government to commit crimes against
humanity and God-You will see how far we will go in the future-Our
freedoms are almost all stripped away. Welcome to the police state
and enslavement of you and your children you all asked for it by
being cowards and not standing up for what is right and it all has
started with the War on Drugs. Reply...
They wouldn't do 53 years! They will probably get under 10 in a minimum security prison. Look at that other case in Bismarck, Lana Pederson...she ended up getting 4 years 7mo..and will only end up serving about 3. She is now down in Bryan Texas..minumum security womans prison. They have aerobics, and even places for the girls to lay out and get a tan! Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture! This is what our tax money is going for!! Maybe I need to go to prison, so I can take a vacation! LOl Reply...
Yes, there is alot of BC Bud in the States, but the Mexican cartels have set up shop in California's wilderness areas destroying and polluting the environment. The Mexicans are competing with the Canadians for the high-grade marijuana market, but they still bring their low-end weed in for the low-end market. Reply...
Tasha-
Agree wholeheartedly; a vast majority of the drug traffic (especially meth) is coming from Mexico. Marijuana is still mainly from British Columbia, Canada. Closing the borders (dare I say even militarizing the borders) would really put a pinch on the supply.
Pheasguide-
I agree that Citibank and other big companies are knee deep in drug laundering. Our own CIA is involved as well, though the proceeds are usually turned back around and placed into further counter-intelligence.
I do NOT agree with your assessment of rampant drug use. For the most part, yes, you should be allowed to put whatever you want into your bodies. However, there is a BIIIG difference between caffine and meth. Society dictates that meth is very bad for you, which it is. The social-economic impact of meth use is also another reason it is prosecuted. Do you remember the rash of vandalisms, burglaries, even a grocery store arson in Bottineau a few months ago? Suprisingly, the actors were high on meth.
BTW, you know your nation's economic situation is grim when the drug cartels are dealing with the Euro instead of the dollar.
In regards to Stenjehm..... shouldn't he be facing the federal three strikes rule on drug trafficking? He got busted twice in 2 weeks (2 seperate charges), and I thought someone here said he had been in prison before for drugs. Anyone clarify? If that's the case, his 3rd arrest should be treated federal and he will be looking at life in prison. Reply...
pheasguide, there are reasons why drugs are illegal and allowed to flood into this country. Read "Narco-Dollars for Beginners" to get the big picture...

The drug war is illegal and should be stopped. It has not worked,
it will not work, and should be stopped. National leaders are involved with the allowing of drugs to cross our border. Citibank,
Ford, GM, and a host of publically traded companies are responsible
for laundering drug money. Our prisons are full and overflowing with non-violent drug offenders-We are letting dangerous people
out of prison to make room for non-violent offenders. As a nation
we changed drug laws around the turn of the century. We are a
free people and being free we should be able to choose whatever
we want to put into our bodies be it poison or vitamins it should not
be big brother government telling us these things. I have read
that if the drug money that is propping up the stock market were
taken away the whole financial system would tumble. Reply...
Question: Which came first, the pusher or the addict?
Answer: The pusher.
We are most likely talking about addicts here who are trafficking to support their habits. So, the problem is to attack the source the narco-terrorist, falied state called Mexico. The meth and heroin most likely came through the Mexico-California-Colorado drug trafficking route. Close the borders and the problem is solved. All the addicts will be forced into rehab and the traffickers won't have much of anything to traffcik. Reply...
Gee why are most of the posts on here whining don't blame the family and blah blah blah. Well I wouldn't vote for stenehjem and never have and never will. So there I said it. You cry babies gonna complain. Well this loser is only dragging his family through the mud. And wow the 50 year old has a record dating back some 20 yrs ago. and now he finally gets caught. Doesn't seem like alot of drugs to do that much time. But I hate drug dealers, users and pushers. Let em HANG Reply...
Hey Just me - aren't you the one who posted about the two missing fisherman saying they were going to set up a meth lab? I remember because you were using the post name I've had for months and made that stupid comment. Please get a different name as your last thought wasn't stellar either. Great fathers and respected persons are not getting busted for drugs. I don't care who his family is - they are not to blame. He's an adult and apparently has not turned his life around. Reply...
Ok seriously... I knew Jason many years ago... his parents tried to set him straight. Jason is an adult... yeah I think it is funny to that his family makes the laws that he is able to break but dang its not I REPEAT NOT HIS FAMILIES FAULT of what he is charged with. I can also assure you that his family would NOT have tolorated anything like that in their home. I know his brother and his sister too. His older brother used to go by the name TROUBLE and I can tell you that he has completely changed his ways and is now a great father and a respected person. His sister isnt like this either. So please... know your role before you start bashing the whole family for Jasons doings!!!! Reply...

Like father like son, no preferential treatment, should get the same as anyone else. Chances of happening 0, in fact it wouldn't suprise me if they legislated something in to work around getting a special deal, for the son of our own SD royal family. No, I am not trying to defend any of those things...I think that drug use is deplorable, and choose not to associate with people who use drugs. Meth is a scourge on our state right now, and there is no excuse for it...I am simply saying that I am less concerned with bashing these people and more concerned about the families that are dealing with the pain, anger and shame of having their family members involved in this situation, and having others say such terrible things...You are right, he has done many things wrong...from what I have heard, the girl in this story has been in just as much trouble in the past, and Holcomb has an extensive criminal past...The courts will deal with them as they see fit, that is what we elect these judges to do...
MadManMe...while I am certainly not anti-death penalty, I feel that there are other crimes that need to be punished that way more than drug crimes...for instance if someone ever hurt my child, they wouldn't need to worry about the executioner, I would take care of that myself...I am more opposed to using my tax dollars to house illegal aliens who have committed crimes in OUR prison system rather than just deporting them than I am to paying to take care of someone like this...I just think your comment was a bit harsh...we are all entitled to our opinion, but can't we just be civil about it?
But I digress... Reply...
Hey Check your facts- Every criminal in the system is dang lucky I am not in charge. All second felony offenses would be punishable by death if it were my call. There would be no televison unless they could pick it up on an antenna, there would be no air conditioning, there would be no luxuries for breaking our laws. I grew up and learned the rules we follow as citizens. I have no compassion for those who feel they are above the law. If you commit a second felony you obviously like prison.
Oh sorry when I get to talking about this I could go on forever. You know my feeling if yo uhave seen my postings here or other places on this site.
I am extremely pro death penalty. Reply...

You must have been there to know all that otherwise how would you know all the details, like it has been said many times the three of them are not saints. Maybe mister no-name is one that could be worried about if he rolls over, sure sounds like it, if he knows so much that is. Reply...
I just wanted to make that point about what type of people and circumstances he is involved with. Are you seriously trying to stick up for him? Methadone, heroin, oxycotin, crystal meth? TEENAGE GIRLS! Reply...
To the person with no name, if you will check your facts you will see that he was cleared of any wrongdoing in the case regarding Streeper...so again, it has nothing to do with anything. No one has claimed that he is a saint or that he has not made MANY mistakes in his life, but a judge and jury determined that responsibility for that crime lies elsewhere...
MadManMe...good thing you are not doing the judging then isn't it? Last I checked we didn't have the death penalty in ND, and even if we did, would it be appropriate to execute someone on drug charges while murderers and child molesters sit in our prision so that we can support them?
Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not defending the actions of any of these 3 people, however we are not the judge, jury, nor executioners in this case, and this has turned into a witch hunt...where is the compassion for which North Dakotans are supposed to be known?
I wonder what makes those of you doing the bashing feel the need...do you know Jason? Has he wronged you personally in some way? It is time to practice compassion and understanding for the families of those involved, and also to remember that no trial has taken place, and in this country we are innocent until proven guilty... If them are the facts in the case and he is convicted, he should be set in the electric chair and fried like clam strips. Reply...
I just wanted to point out that Jason was there in the earlier evening on the night that Mark Streeper injected a 16 year old girl with an OD of ocycotin, and proceeded to take nude pictures of her. Reply...
To "?":
The comment posted by "To "jerry"' was posted by me directed to "jerry" I should have stated that better. I am in total agreement with you that the PEOPLE involved in the incident are the ones to blame not the families of them.
To everyone else:
Things like this are hard enough on families as it is without people trying to say it was in some way the fault of the family members and not the person who did it. I still find it very interesting though that the only one of the three people involved that people feel the need to talk about is Jason. Why is no one concerned about the 50 year old man, Duard Charles Holcomb that had multiple aliases, multiple social security numbers, provided a false name to the authorities and even had multiple birth dates? Not to mention that his criminal record goes back to 1974. Don't you think maybe he's not such a great guy?
I don't know I just find it hard to judge people for things their relatives did, besides the only one who should be judging people is GOD "let he who has not sinned cast the first stone," I know I have sinned and therefore will not be casting any stones, maybe the rest of you should look at yourselves and think about that before judging people you probably don't even know.
Reply...
you were one of them that started in on Jason and his family I have read threw all of this and agree it is his fault along with the others not Bob or any of his familys!! Reply...
I find it interesting that you say, "the prominent and important people's kids that have everything end up breaking the law or are in trouble." In case you haven't noticed there were two other people involved in this incident, yet the only one people are concerned about is Jason.
Have you ever concidered that your perception is skewed? It isn't that the only people getting into trouble and getting reduced setences are related to politicians, those are just the only ones you care about.
Have some consideration for the family and GET OVER YOURSELF! I'm sure you're not perfect, and if you are and your entire family is too I would love to meet you. I think people need to quit obsessing over this and realize that like I said there were other people involved. Don't you think this is a difficult enough situation for all involved without obsessive, CRAP talking people like you beating a dead horse? Reply...
Jason has made some big mistakes in his life, and yes "maybe" has gotton by with some small offenses, but he has served time in Prison before, so no I don't think he will get special treatment this time. I know Jason from when I worked with him, he would have done anything to help me, did I know he had a problem with drugs, no, but he was always very kind to me, so that is why I will pray for him. Not that he gets off scott-free but that he now realizes the hurt he is causing his friends and family by using these terrible drugs. I am just happy that no one was killed while they were driving on the road. I also pray for his family his mother and father and sisters and brother, god knows the pain in their hearts right now. It is not their fault that this happened, so please don't look down their family, may they be politial figures or not. I know deep inside Jason has a good heart, he is just mixed up in some VERY VERY bad stuff and maybe it will take an even longer stint in jail this time to finally let him see the error in his ways and stay clean not only for himself but for the people that know and love him. Reply...
It's ridiculous that people have the nerve to speak pessimistically about a whole entire family on the basis of one individual. It is completely otiose and juvenile. And it is not due to one person that drugs are "running rapid in North Dakota", and Jason Stenehjem will be treated equally as others have been in the charge of drugs and drug paraphernalia. His name will not lessen the charges or the sentance, and it never has. Reply...
I can only assume that those of you who are posting negative comments regarding the parents or uncles of a 28 year old come from perfect families. No one in your family has ever broken any laws done anything wrong and the last time you checked everyone in your family tree was up for sainthood. If this is not the case then maybe you should realize that every person is responsible for their own actions regardless of who their family is and the only reason you care about this particular case is because they have a high profile family. If the last name was Jones with no political ties that you were aware I doubt you would have given this incident a second thought. There are many people in this world with multiple arrests who continue to break the law with minimal punishment who don't come from political families. Reply...
ROCK ON!!! WAY TO GO CHECK YOUR FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!
I do also pray for the parents, as they are suffering more then the kids... we all love our kids no matter what they do bad or good.. Reply...
MadManME Thank you you have said what I have wanted to say and that is all, and who knows he might not spend 50 years but that is not for me judge either, but just think of the people he could roll over on and how scared they should be..Thanks again Reply...
What do the actions of this 28 year-old ADULT have to do with who his family is? While it may seem that the relatives of prominent citizen do more stuff like this, is it perhaps true that it only seems that way because people make a bigger deal out of it when the family is more visible? As for Jason serving time, yes, I think he will...will it be 50 years? Probably not, but I won't be surprised to see 10-20...his family has never asked for special favors when he has been in trouble before, nor will they do so now, he has made his own decisions and will face their consequences...
I would also remind those who post without checking their facts, that when you make blatantly untrue statements in a public forum that amount to character assassination (see james and jerry) this is called LIBEL (A false publication, as in writing, print, signs, or pictures, that damages a person's reputation. The act of presenting such material to the public.)
I pray for the parents that are going through a really rough time right now, despite their child's mistakes they love him (as we all love our children no matter what) and this cannot be easy...I also pray for these two young people who will likely remain behind bars until middle age, may they find a way to make something good of their mistakes... What someone over the age of 18 does is their choice. There is nothing the family can do to change how a kid acts. They can talk to them and try to guide them but ultimately the kid will do as he wants. Was it the upbringing? Maybe. Will he spend time in jail? Doubtful. Politics will weave its web and a techincality will be found and the charges will be dropped or severly reduced. Anyone wanna place a bet? Reply...
Yes, but Jason's other uncle is Allan Stenehjem, a man who has bee run out of at least 3 jobs for inappropiate behavior on the jobsite (abuse of staff, misappropriation of funds, etc.). In at least one instance, Allan gave him a job, a new wardrobe, etc., but even while at the office, Jason continued to use and Allan refused to believe it. Perhapss Jason is emulating his uncle Allen in thinking he can do whatever he wants and not have to face serious consequences. Please, Wayne and all the other folks responsible for the prosecution of Jason and all others like him, do the right thing and let the punishment fit the crime. Reply...
Yeah we'll see if he faces 50+ years in prison. More like probation and a pat on back. Politicians or promient people that are in the public eye. Are gonna get alot of crap when something like this happens. Its goes with the territory. And for Jane Doe. As for Wayne keeping Sexual predators "Off the Street" that you claim that is an understatment. We have just as many new sexual predators popping up everyday. Maybe you could clue me in what this man has done to keep our kids safe? Cause I never voted for the Stenehjem's. And it always seems like the prominent and important people's kids that have everything end up breaking the law or are in trouble.. Reply...
Ok you can read, yes Jason has a record, his dad is not Wayne and he has nothing to do with the way Jason was raised, Yes Bob is Jasons dad, he has tried to help him once a child turns 18 I believe they are a adult and pay for their mistakes, NOT THE PARENTS, I am not family but have a family and would not want to be judged by what one child does, you try to raise them right and send them on their way and hope they chose the right path some screw up, and no mater how hard we try we can not save them all now can we. He will serve his time and so will the others,
But lets keep in mind Jason was of age and making his own decisions, bad as they were he is the one that will be punished for them not his uncle or his dad.
Just for your information I am not family or do I know them other then for the jobs they have done for the state, but I do have a family of my own and being a parent I know raising kids is the hardest job a person could have and there is no one that is perfect now is there,, or we would not have to have laws and there would be no prisons, because everyone would be perfect.

i can not see how we can have people making laws for the whole state and want them inforced but the their kids are the ones who are breaking them and all they get is a slap and hand and told not to do it again you can look at he record it is public sticking up for the family is not going to get help for his problems i guess it is easier to close our eyes and walk away then it is to open them and help Reply...
Well I have to agree with the carefulReader, it was not Bob's house, and yes Bob is a member of the Senate, he has a family, but when kids have grown and over 18 as a parent you just have to let them take the fall if they go down the wrong road, Bob and his wife have tried many times to help Jason, and he takes the road he wants to follow, they are good parents... And as far as Wayne,(jerry and james}you should know that his son protected your nation and you so you could feel safe here in the state, and your kids should feel safer knowing that Wayne helps keep sexual preditors in the pen and off our streets as much as the law allows,,PLEASE get all your facts straight before posting CRAP online Everyone if you are going to judge a family like the saying goes clean your own door step first.. Well I have to agree wiht the FYI why not know what you are talking about before posting CRAP online, Wayne has helped this state and the people of Bismarck more then anyone knows FYI he has a son that has served our NATION and protected your Bt here in the states ..And Wayne still protects your kids here from sexual preditors,,And Bob yes is Jasons father but we are all allowed a mistake and it is not that Bob has not tried, when your kids choose a wrong path and won't take help, you just have to let them take what they have comming, Bob and his wife have a great family and it was NOT his house that was searched.
