DENVER (AP) - Paul Stastny scored 7:27 into overtime after tying the game with 13.4 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Colorado Avalanche to a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild last night. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Twins walked eight times off three relievers in rallying for a 9-5 victory over the Blue Jays and a sweep of yesterday's day-night doubleheader. Kyle Gibson threw eight scoreless innings as Minnesota won the opener 7-0. The Twins trailed 5-1 in the fifth of the night game after another lackluster start by Mike Pelfrey.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The rehabilitation assignment for Toronto Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen has been halted because of lingering tightness in his lower back. Janssen has been on the disabled list since the start of the season. Shortstop Jose Reyes is expected to rejoin the Blue Jays tomorrow at Cleveland. He strained his left hamstring in his first at-bat this season.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Timberwolves won nine more games than they did a season ago and saw Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio make it through the entire season without injury. But the season will still go down as a massive disappointment because they missed the playoffs for the 10th straight season. They head into an offseason filled with uncertainty.
