BALTIMORE (AP) - Chris Davis hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the seventh, Jimmy Paredes homered and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 last night. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - In Game 1 of the Western Conference finals, the Phoenix Mercury figured out how to do something the entire league hasn't done all season - stop Maya Moore. The Lynx need a win in Game 2 on Sunday to keep their dreams of repeating as league champions alive.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have parlayed the Kevin Love trade into a record-setting week at the team's box office. Timberwolves officials say they have sold more than 300 new season-ticket packages since Love was officially traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers last weekend.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings have cut veteran safeties Chris Crocker and Kurt Coleman and placed Jamarca Sanford on injured reserve, leaving them thin at safety as the season opener approaches. The Vikings announced their final cuts Saturday night to get down to the 53-man roster limit.
