(Kriss Allard - Sunrise Home Delivery) "People say the Milkman still exists.  Well it has been around for 60 years and that is why we bought the business..."

Yes, indeed the old fashioned way of getting milk -- continues -- under new ownership in Minot and Bismarck.  Sunrise Home Delivery was sold this fall to Kriss Allard.  Sunrise operates one truck in Minot -- and four in Bismarck-Mandan.  And don't think the only thing delivered is milk in a glass jar...

(Kriss Allard - Sunrise Home Delivery) "It is not just milk and bread anymore.  We deliver other grocery products to the door.  We hope people know we can save them time and money."

The list of product is long -- and that can lead to more time at home...and less time in a crowded supermarket...

(Kriss Allard - Sunrise Home Delivery) "You never can go to the store to get just those two things.  You always end up with the things that sit in the cupboard and you never use.  I think with everyone being so busy the convenience is really important these days."

The sale to Allard became official on September 1st.

Also in business news -- the hotel boom in the region has its newest opening.  Motel 6 in Williston.  But not just any Motel 6 -- it is called the 'Phoenix' -- this is a picture of the new style building.  It has hardwood floors--flat screen tvs--just better finishes altogether.  You'll find the motel just off Highway 2 at 1325 19th Ave.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
