The ever increasing need for more beds to sleep in western North Dakota is leading to some impressive building in the town...or maybe we should say booming city of Stanley.  Rising high above the plans

Work out here is tough...and dirty.  The oilfields of the Bakken have produced many new business...and growth for those that already existed.  Like here at Suds and Sun on 31st Avenue in Minot.  They have started 'Dirty Duds Oilfield Laundry Service' and it has taken off quickly.  They make the trips into the oilfields and gather up plenty of extremely dirty clothes to be cleaned up...

(Savana Pitcher - Dirty Duds Oilfield Laundry Service) "We go about anywhere!  We go to trucks, to truck stops, to rigs, to mancamps.  We have even gone so far as to meet at a random truck in the middle of nowhere.  As long as you are willing to work with us."

It is two day service guaranteed...They travel into the field on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays making the pick-ups and drop offs.  They have had lots of clients...and that has meant changing the way they operate...

(Savana Pitcher - Dirty Duds Oilfield Laundry Service) "We bring it in...usually do it overnight.  We have staff here doing it overnight so it doesn't affect our regular business and it has been jumping out quick."

So quick, Pitcher says she anticipates having to grow into a larger location -- the need is that strong -- and the business is there.  If you are interested call 701-720-8266 and talk to Savana.

Speaking of growing -- the View in Minot is doing exactly that.  The retirement living home located on the 2 and 52 bypass is adding an additional 36 units in a building currently being constructed on site.  The single level building won't be connected to the original View -- and is expected to be complete in the Spring.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
