The old Starry Fireworks location north of Minot at the intersection of the 83 bypass has a new business, Ahern Rental has moved to Minot.  It is the second location in the state for the family owned company.

At Ahern you will find plenty of big equipment for rental.  But not just the big massive machines that get lots of use in the oilfields of western North Dakota.  Mac Magaster says the goal is to service the needs of everyone, including the do-it-yourself at home...and Ahern has the tools to get to you...

(Mac Magaster - Ahern) "I have 74 other branches that I can pull equipment from and get it here for the local homeowner...maybe someone who is doing some flood repair.  I want to cater to the community not just the oilfield.  I have equipment like lawnseeders, concrete mixers, compressors..."

They will also be a Carhartt dealer -- offering something that will be needed soon in the oil play...

(Mac Magaster - Ahern) "We are going to try and gear toward the FR or fire resistant Carhart because in March of this year there will be a requirement if you go on a site of a well you have to have the FR clothing."

Ahern opened in Minot late last month.

Also in Minot -- Organized Spaces is getting ready to celebrate a year of helping folks...you guessed it...get organized!  They can offer closet organization -- garage make-overs and much more.  Take for example this small walk-in closet...here is the before -- and the after.  Taking advantage of all the space avertable is the goal...give them a call at 852-7077.  With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
