The Capital Christian Center started celebrating Super Bowl Sunday much earlier than the kickoff.
For the second straight year, the congregation here is encouraged to wear jeans and jerseys for Super Bowl Sunday church service.
Pastor Dan Kent says it's a way for church-goers to incorporate what's happening outside of church with the Sunday message.
"It's just a fun way to connect with our friends and neighbors, everybody's thinking about the Super Bowl anyway, so we just use it to talk about God's Game Plan for our life." says Pastor Dan Kent.
There was some action involved in Sunday's sermon as well!
A faith formation shows how the church members can work as a team and of course, compare football fashion.
"It feels different wearing jeans and jerseys to church right? Weird! But it's fun, comfortable, we got to have a fun day in church on Super Bowl Sunday." says Deon Vilhauer and his daughter Delaney.
Deon and his daughter were wearing Leola South Dakota jerseys, representing his high school.
