Construction season this winter really hasn't taken a break thanks to the unseasonably warm and dry conditions...and that has allowed a new company in town to make its mark.

Tollberg Homes has come to Minot from the Twin Cities and currently has 21 homes in some stage of construction.  Nathan Jones with Tollberg says they saw a great opportunity in Minot a year ago when they decided to make the move west...and have been busy ever since.

Add to it the demand for construction following the devastating flood of 2011 and you've got a recipe for lots of work...

(Nathan Jones - Tollberg Homes) "Right now our business plan really concentrates on residential new construction single family homes.  In addition to that we are also doing flood remodels.  Wasn't part of our business plan when we decided to come out here but there is a need for that and we are happy to adjust to fill that need."

They can work quickly as well...once plans are made and work begins, you can be in your new home quickly.

(Nathan Jones - Tollberg Homes) "Once we dig a basement having our clients move in is usually a sixty day process."

Contact Tollberg at 612-804-9988.

Home of Economy in Minot has plans for a new store -- right next door to the current location on 20th Avenue.  This is an artist's rendition of the new store that would be three times as large.  The old location would be torn down for more parking - with the new building planned for just west of the current store.  The hope is to be open this fall.
