MSU & Briercrest

Posted: Updated:

A new partnership agreement will expand concurrent degree programs between Minot State University and Briercrest College in Caronport, Saskatchewan.

The agreement enables Canadian and American students to receive two degrees in five years, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Briercrest in three years, and a Bachelor of Science from MSU in the two years following.
The partnership allows students to choose a professional program from MSU in education, addiction studies, communication disorders, or social work.
Briercrest President Dr. Dwayne Uglem says he appreciates that each program focuses on community welfare.

(Dr. Dwayne Uglem, President Briercrest College) "Those are values that we hold very dearly and to trust our students into this space, knowing that they're going to be continued in this encouragement to recognize their sense of place, their sense of community."
(Dr. David Fuller, President Minot State University) "These three partnerships, three of which represent our premiere programs at this campus I should add, will allow us to have a very fruitful and productive relationship among other things to come in the future."

Earning a degree from both Briercrest and Minot State will allow the student to work or teach in either the U.S. or Canada.
