A 15-year-old girl was killed when her car collided with a fuel truck 1.5 miles east Garrison this afternoon.
Authorities say the girl, whose identity is not being released at this time, was driving east on highway 37.
49-year-old Graling Steinwand of Garrison was driving a fuel truck in the westbound lane when the girl crossed the centerline into his lane.
Steinwand braked and turned right to avoid a collision, but the girls car hit the fuel truck head on.
She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
Steinwand was wearing a seatbelt and was injured.
The engine and cab of the truck started on fire, but not ignite the fuel that was being hauled.
The accident remains under investigation.
