Student Spotlight Schedule

Graduation is barely over a month away for many high school seniors.
And we're meeting the top graduates in the region in our Student Spotlight.
Tonight, we're in Surrey where two seniors share the valedictorian crown.

(Kylee Nelsen, Surrey Senior) "I really like that Surrey is a small school.  You get to know everybody and it's just a good community to grow up in so I'm glad."
(Ashley Mogard, Surrey Senior) "I like the small community, getting to know everybody, and it's just been a great time coming here."
(Kylee Nelsen, Surrey Senior) "I like college algebra, I like the way Mrs. McDermott teaches it she gets the students motivated so that's my favorite teacher - sorry to the other teachers!"
(Ashley Mogard, Surrey Senior) "I like all my classes and don't have a favorite teacher because I get along with all of them well.  I like math, and band and choir - it's a lot of fun."
(Kylee Nelsen, Surrey Senior) "I've been in volleyball, basketball, student council, honor society, stats for track this year, I really like being involved with the school."
(Ashley Mogard, Surrey Senior) "I've been in basketball, track, band and choir, honor society, and I've had a lot of fun with all those throughout the years."
(Kylee Nelsen, Surrey Senior) "My plans are to attend NDSU and get into pharmacy school and become a pharmacist some day."
(Ashley Mogard, Surrey Senior) "">This fall I'll be at Minot State, majoring in music.  I hope to become a music teacher and stay in the area once I graduate.

Congratulations to Kylee and Ashley, the co-valedictorians at Surrey.  Here are all of the honor students in the senior class of 28.
Graduation day is May 20th.
