The ever increasing need for more beds to sleep in western North Dakota is leading to some impressive building in the town...or maybe we should say booming city of Stanley.  Rising high above the plans is this -- the four story Legend Hotel and Lodge.  As you might imagine, this is an extended stay facility owned by a California company.  The planned opening is sometime in July.

Also in Stanley, more hotels -- this from the familiar name Target Logistics.  The man-camp company is constructing two hotels now that will offer 230 rooms.  Foundation work is wrapping up on the west side of town and the plan is to be ready for operation this fall.

On 31st Avenue in Minot you'll find Alternative Health Solutions and as a part of that, the Smoothie Cafe.  Alternative Health Solutions is a natural health clinic, using natural products to help cleanse the body of toxins...that is what owner Debra Landers says.  Inside you'll find the Smoothie Cafe.  These light smoothies have no artificial ingredients whatever -- exactly the type of product Landers was looking to offer...

(Debra Landers) "It is 100% natural crushed fruit smoothies, protein shakes, lattes, mochas, and hot cocoa.  You can add the blend ins too like the fat loss, immune boost, fiber...things like that."

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
