Another liquor store is on tap for Downtown Mandan.

Main Street Liquor is moving into the old McDonalds on Main Street in Mandan. But this isn't your average liquor store--whether your in a hurry or have an hour or two to belly up Main Streets got you covered.

Owner Jerry Stryker says it will be a full service liquor store with a drive through window for customers on the go. They plan to also have a craft beer and wine bar for customers to come in and try their products.

Stryker says they plan to open in 20 days. The store will be open 7 days a week hours will vary.

An Authentic Mexican Restaurant is Now open in Bismarck. Taco Palenqo off of Airport road offers home cooked Mexican foods---included homemade salsa and chips

They are open 6 am- 8 pm and offer daily specials so the owners say come early and for every meal if you wish. Right now only the take out option is available but the owners do plan to open a dining area and patio.

A new Lillian's location is now open in Dickinson at 141st street west. They store is having it's grand opening this weekend. Owners says they will be every second week of the month Thursday through Sunday.

Unlike the Bismarck Store this Lillian's Store is 60 percent Clothing and 40 percent bags and accessories. The owners says they have things for all ages from preteen to adults. For more information on event dates visit www.lilliansshoppe.com

Starting this weekend parking downtown will be a little easier. Bismarck's Parking Authority will offer free parking after 5 pm in the 3rd and Main Ave Parking ramp.

The change is part of a trial to encourage more activity downtown.

  • A wide-ranging farm bill the House is considering would cut food stamps by $2 billion a year and make it more difficult for some people to qualify for the domestic food aid program.
Prospects for House passage of a new farm bill could turn on the level of food stamp cuts as key backers scrambled Wednesday to secure support for the five-year, half-trillion dollar measure.
