Bismarck High Heads to State A Baseball

Posted:
Bismarck, ND -

All year we've been talking about how wide open West Region baseball is.
Well, that was more than proved this weekend.
The number 2, 6, 7 and 8 seeds all made the state tournament from the WDA.

That's, Dickinson, Bismarck High, St. Mary's and Williston.
The BHS Demons went into the tournament wanting to just lay back and see what happened.
That loose feeling is what had both their hitting and fielding improved, from recent weeks.

BHS didn't make the state tournament last season, so most of their team has no experience at the state tournament.
Bismarck High faces Fargo Shanley in the first round.
The Demons know pitching will be key.

The tournament starts at 11:30 am Thursday morning, with Dickinson and Fargo Davies.
Shanley and BHS play the 2nd game of the day at about 2:00.
West Fargo and St. Mary's are scheduled to play at 4:30.
The night games is Wahpeton against Williston.
The tournament is at Memorial Field in Mandan.
