Car Sales On The Rise

Posted:

There's no doubt that North Dakota's economy is booming, and that can be seen all across the state.

From housing, to retail sales, business is going well and one of those areas seeing increased sales, are car dealerships.

From cars, to pickups to SUV's, all of these vehicles in Eide Ford's lot, are driving success in the new car industry.

Eide Ford in Bismarck is seeing another great year when it comes to sales, and while all of the vehicles at Eide Ford are selling well, some are selling exceptionally well.

"The F-150 by far, we sell 30 to 40 new F-150's a month, the super duty's are very good for commercial purposes, you know we sell a lot of those to oil companies out west," General Sales Manager of Eide Ford Jesse Peterson said.

And while vehicle sales are high nationally, they're especially high right here in Bismarck and North Dakota, and that can be contributed to a number of factors.

"Not only oil business but you know a lot of people moving to the Bismarck area, you know homebuilders are doing well, so we just have a steady infrastructure here," Peterson said.

But new sales don't seem to be the only key to success, used cars are also being driven off the lot at a fast rate.

"The used market has just been phenomenal lately, you know the industry as a whole has done phenomenal, anytime there's a new car trade, the used car comes in and that's exactly what we love to have," Dan Evans with Dvorak Motors said.

And with the economy showing no future signs of putting on the brakes just yet, dealerships can plan on seeing continued increased business.

Jesse Peterson with Eide Ford says sales are going up anywhere between 15 and 25 percent annually.
