Posted:

The AP reports North Dakota voters have resoundingly defeated a proposal that would have made the state the first in the nation to abolish local property taxes.

The AP is also reporting Kevin Cramer has defeated Brian Kalk in the republican race for U.S. House.

Measure #4 dealing with the Fighting Sioux nickname passes (retiring the nickname) with over 60% of the vote.

Measure #3 (Religious Freedom) also failed with around 60% of voters

Meanwhile, Congressman Rick Berg has defeated Duane Sand in North Dakota U.S. Senate primary.

Berg will now face Democrat Heidi Heitkamp in November for the open seat.
