Medora: The Boom, Bust And Resurrection

Posted: Updated:

For those who've been to Medora, you know of the beauty of the area, but what about the history?

To some the history might be just as exciting as the beautiful sites of the town.

Rolf Sletten now has a book out called; Medora: Boom Bust and Resurrection.

The book sums up what the town experienced in the 1800's when the town was booming, and covers all the history up until today.

"It seemed to me that a lot of people came out here, spent two or three days of vacation, and they left without knowing very much about the history of Medora, and so I wanted to write a book that you could read fairly quickly, you wouldn't have to read the whole thing," Rolf Sletten said.

Harold Schafer, the man who is known for a lot of the resurrection in Medora is Sletten's father - in -law.

If you'd like a copy of the book you can find it at multiple shops in Medora.
