8 seconds isn't a long time, but for some people it's the time between them and a big reward.
Reporter Arielle Johnson takes us through the seconds.

Ryan Dirteater, Skeeter Kingsolver, Dusty LaBeth, and Mickey Andrews. The names of Professional Bull riders who are here in town coaching younger, less experienced bull riders
Bismarck Lance Comeau promotes the school hosted at Chad Berger's for the past 4 years
Comeau says bull riding is a family sport, and what better to learn from the best riders around.
he says it's a lot of work but the reward of the smiles on the riders faces is worth it in the long run.

Promoter Lance Comeau says, "Come to the school, learn from the guys that have a good attitude, a good outlook, they're dedicated and that's one thing you've got to be if you want to be a bull rider is you got to be dedicated and you got to have nice guys like Chad Berger who will let you put it on here."

The clinic teaches riders the fundamentals on riding a barrel, shoot procedures, and the fun part--getting on the bull.

Chance Schott is a bull rider. " Hustle up in the shoots and stuff, I'm learning how to tie my rope and handle my rope a lot better this year."

The bull riders say they hope to be in the Professional bull riders boots some day

Schott says," I look up to Skeeter, Ryan, and Dusty and them, I watch them a lot on TV and stuff."
PBR bull rider Ryan Dirteater says, " It's great ya know, I was once there I was down there getting autographs and taking pictures and stuff and looking up to those guys, and now I'm one of them it means a lot to me, dreams come true for those who work for what they dream, and I'm not done ya know I'm still going at it, hopefully I'll win world champion one of these days."

At 23 Dirteater is ranked 11th in the world.
He's been bull riding since he was 9 and turned professional at the age of 18.
Dirteater says it takes a lot of dedication to work up through the ranks, and bull riding clinics is a good start for anyone interested in riding. For KX news I'm Arielle Johnson.

Comeau says the age range is from 9-40 years old, anyone can come try it if they're interested in riding.
