Teen Charged in Connection to Synthetic Drug Death

An 18-year-old East Grand Forks man has been arrested in connection with the death of a second area teen who police believe overdosed on synthetic drugs.
Adam Budge is in Polk County Jail on four charges that could land him a total of 70 years in prison.
He's charged with third degree murder, second degree manslaughter, selling drugs to a juvenile, and selling one or more mixtures that contain a controlled substance.
Budge is accused of being involved in the death of a teen police identified today who died of an apparent drug overdose.
Police say 17-year-old Elijah Stai of Park Rapids O-D'd in East Grand Forks on synthetic hallucinogens last Wednesday, was taken to Altru, and died from the overdose on Friday.
