In honor of June being dairy month, North Dakota crowns a new dairy princess.
Marissa Leier is the 66th State Dairy Princess.
Leier lives on her family farm near Hague.
Leier is passionate about the industry--milking cows, showing dairy cattle, even participating at World Dairy Expo.
(Marissa Leier / 66th ND Dairy Princess) "I am still shaking. There were some really good contestants. I have been involved in dairy all of my life and I am really passionate about it and really enthusiastic about it. And to help people learn more about it is going to be great."
Leier says of all the duties her title includes, she is most excited to teach younger kids about the industry.
