It's one of the sights that sticks out about the 2011 Missouri River Flood -- and it happened one year ago today.
One year ago today -- the Missouri River flood claimed it's first home.

The high releases out of Garrison Dam eroded the bank and undermined the home's foundation.
The residents had evacuated prior to the river destroying the home.
Burleigh County is currently in buyout negotiations with four home owners in Hogue Island.
The proposal would buy four properties to allow the county to build a levee that would protect homes on Hogue Island and the south central water treatment plant.
