Runners Rebuild the Magic

Posted: Updated:

Runners hope to rebuild the magic this weekend for the Minot Park District.

The Hope Floats, Rebuild the Magic Walk and Run will be this Saturday in Oak Park from 9:00 until 10:30 am.
The run is one way of marking the one year anniversary of the 2011 flood.
Funds raised by Hope Floats, Rebuild the Magic, will be given to the Minot Park District and will help fund the rebuilding efforts of the many parks and recreational areas in Minot.
Rebuild the Magic has already generated $10,000 for the park district.
Coordinator of the Rebuild the Magic Run, Tiffany Campione, says the idea came to her unexpectedly.

(Tiffany Campione,Run Coordinator)"My church said to come up with a mission and Minot was the first thing that came to mind.  So, I thought, How can I give back? and the 5K just kind of happened from there."

Anyone interested in participating in Rebuild the Magic can sign up at 8 Saturday morning at Oak Park.
The Minot Area Community Foundation will be hosting a re-opening celebration at Oak Park after the run and all are welcome.
