A man who hung out with two men accused in a deadly shooting in Beulah in January tells jurors about statements made before and after the murder.
Richard Whitman and Cody Borner are charged with conspiracy to commit murder for killing Michael Padilla and injuring Timothy Padilla.
Colten Langord says he was with Whitman and Borner the day and hours before the shooting.
Colter Langord says,"Rick mentioned having problems with the Padilla's. I don't know if they owed him money or what the deal was, he seemed upset with them."
Langord says Whitman and Borner left his house at some point and only Whitman returned with a confession.
Colter Langord says, "We sat at the table, I asked him what was going on and he said he had to turn himself in. At that point my phone rang and it was my sister who said if he comes over don't let him in, the cops are looking for him."
Whitman was arrested shortly after outside Langord's Hazen home.
Langord and his girlfriend both say there were no discussions by Whitman and Borner about harming the Padillas.
