Hot Weather Moves In

Posted: Updated:

The Splash Pad at Oak park was finished just in time

for the hot weather that has finally arrived.
With the temperatures peaking in the high eighties today... the Splash Pad was a popular place to be this afternoon.
It was a perfect way to kick off the summer season for kids and adults alike.
And a nice way to spend the afternoon cooling off.
We talked with people today about what they thought of the hot weather.

"Do you welcome the warm weather?"
"Of course, of course. It is summer, how can you not?"
"It is wonderful. We had too many cold days here so I am enjoying it. I'm having fun."
"I love it."
"What made you guys come here to the splash pad?"
"It is the only place in Minot to cool down."
"I am enjoying it. Just being outside instead of being stuck inside with the rain."
"It is really good thought. It is nice. It is better than snow."
"We love it. We come out here everyday pretty much. Mostly just walk around and enjoy the nice weather."

The splash pad is free and open to all ages.
