Convicted Murderer Sentenced on Child Porn

Posted:

A convicted murder, with a history of sex crimes -- is sentenced in federal court for having child porn.

Damien Breding recently served 20 years in prison for murdering twin six year old Powers Lake girls in 1992... But today he's sentenced for a crime he committed while incarcerated.

Damien Breding heads back to prison, this time in the federal system.

The convicted murderer was sentenced to 27 months in prison and three years of supervised probation for downloading child pornography.

He was charged with the federal crime the day he was released for the 1991 murder of two six year old girls.

In 2002, Breding while working at Roughrider Industries at the prison downloaded pornographic pictures. Penitentiary staff found the images in Breeding cell in 2004.

The US Attorneys office was made aware of the crime after a review of Breeding file prior to his release.

A pre-sentence report reveals unsettling details about Breding's history of sexual misconduct.

Breding had four incidents when he was a juvenile starting at age ten, he was punished or touching young kids and peeping.

Breding even admitted to touching those girls he murdered after they were dead.

US Attorney Gary Delorme says the child pornography crime happened not only while being incarcerated but after treatment.

Delorme says Breding will always be a risk to children in whatever community he lives in."

Breding's mother says Damien will live with her in Williston following his release from Federal prison.
