Around Town

Posted: Updated:

From sandwiches to beer--a new restaurant and an old one at a new location will have your food and beverage needs.
Jon Schaeffer takes you around town today.

Schlotzky's has a new building--new roommate--and new look. The sandwich specialty shop will be adding a Cinnabon to the mix at it's new location next to the subway on state street. Schlotzky's moved from its old location on interstate avenue to the beige building that will open up to the public Sunday. Hours will be 11 AM to 9 PM Mon-sat. and 11 to 8 on Sunday. It will also have a new way to schlotzky's to get your food a little quicker. Bill Shalhoob/ owner Schlotzky's "More importantly we got a drive thru which everyone had been asking for and is really needed so those are the two reasons that we moved to get a drive through and to increase our capacity we had just out grown the old spot." There is also space for a third vendor--it could possibly be a Carvel Ice cream that goes in. The Schlotzky's--Cinnabon will open July 1st.
Looking for an ice cold beer? JL beers will soon start their construction on their building at 217 3rd St in downtown Bismarck. The popular burger and beer joint is a hit in Fargo and Grand Forks. With 40 tap beers  you will be able to find something that stimulates your taste buds. And pair that with a Burger you'll be good to go. The building proposal has a roof top area as well. The open date for the burger and beer bar is slated for sometime later this summer.
